WHAT IS A SPEECH & LANGUAGE IMPAIRMENT (SP&L)?
A speech and language impairment is when the student's sounds production, voice, fluency, receptive language and/or expressive language significantly impacts the student's educational progress. All done through a standardized assessments.
Criteria Checklist
The criteria checklist for a Speech and Language Impairment, is used and completed during the evaluation meeting. These checklists will guide the team in determining whether or not the child meets criteria for the disability or disabilities being evaluated.
